Have I stopped procrastinating productively?!

Well… not really.

And now that I got some lovely comments here, I wonder why I haven’t posted anything in such a long time. There are a number of reasons, some of them quite sad – but I need to get back to the fun things, and that should also mean this place here, my Sherlock coat and all the other things I squeeze in between work and more work and writing 🙂

See you in 2019. The better year.

  1. Hello there!
These last couple of days I’ve been following each step of your Sherlock coat project and let me tell you…I don’t have better words to describe everything you posted. I LOVE the attention to details you put in to it all, It’s amazing. I wish there were more people like you making these and sharing with us.
I’m not gonna lie, I don’t understand a damn thing about tailoring and stuff, but this made me wanna do it. Unfortunatelly, I don’t have the right tools nor the time for it, so I’m gonna ask someone I know to do it.
I was gonna ask you (if it is ok with you) if you could share your pattern with me, because I’m afraid and nervous that the result I’ll get isn’t going to be as accurate as yours, and I’d be wasting money.
I actually found an accurate wool fabric (I couldn’t see yours on your first posts, the image is gone) and buttons that maybe you could need as well (I wish I could show them to you here but I can’t).
If you don’t mind, is there any way we can get in contact??

I really look forward to seeing more of your coat. Seriously, I can’t wait.
I hope you get to see my message, otherwise I’d cry.
    Thank you!!

    1. Dear Jorge, thank you so much for leaving this lovely comment! I am truly sorry it took me literal ages to answer, but… life really kept me from doing ANYthing here for years, and I am not entirely sure it’ll change back to how it was three or four years ago, any time soon.
I have, however, decided to document my occasional creative and procrastinative exploits again, and even if I won’t be writing any lengthy posts here, you may find me on instagram (procrastination_productive).
As to the pattern: I cannot ‚share‘ a pattern because you have to draw it for yourself following the steps I describe, according to your personal body measurements 😉
That’s the purpose of the Coat Project: Find out how to create your very own pattern to be able to make a Sherlock-y coat that fits you perfectly.
I will definitely finish the coat at some point, but, as said before, I don’t know for sure when that will be.
But I promise to be online more again so answers to possible future queries won’t take as long!
Thank you again for writing to me and reminding me that some people enjoy this little site and the Coat Project!
      All the best
